Tumblr is having an issue with letting me get past the first page of my drafts, and I don’t want to post or queue several Bailey School Kids books in a row to get to something new… in the meantime, one of my favorites:

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff

Giving a mouse a cookie is simple enough, but he’ll want milk to go with it and when he’s done with the milk he’ll need a mirror to make sure he doesn’t have a milk mustache and when he looks in the mirror he’ll notice that he needs a haircut and on and on. One event will lead to another and before you know it, he’ll be back to wanting a drink of milk and a cookie to go with it. Our advice: don’t give a mouse a cookie!

Bailey School Kids #26: Mermaids Don’t Run Track by Debbie Dadey and Marcia Thornton Jones
